We pop down to the beach first thing and have breakfast by the sea.
Next stop is the Jerwood. Here is the view from the cafe.
The Jerwood Gallery is open Tuesday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm and is the only gallery we have visited with a charge. At £4 with our Art Passes this was acceptable, though I feel art should be accessible to all. The current exhibition is about John Piper who we encountered at The Towner as well. Born in 1903 he lived till 1992 and was a leading British artist of the last century. He was best known for his landscapes, especially his depictions of bomb damaged landscapes.
