Greenham War and Peace 17

Today the fun of GWP17 continues. After our control tower tour we visit the decontamination chambers.  Professional actors are in role to decontaminate us and are shouty and bossy exactly like real americans at Brooklyn brewery or US immigration.  Good accents too.  Phyllis is banished to the tent.  I like reenactment, I think it adds to the learning experience.  I wonder if decontamination chambers are just to make us feel better.  Placebos.   Not so, it has it's place.  read this

In the evening I meet characters from our past.

Enjoy the banners in the sunset

And wait for the crowds to arrive.  The evening's performance exceeds my expectations.

It's professional and informative.  A success. The Georgian aubergine wrap is good too.  And cycling back over the common at night exhilarating.  To bed with a cup of chamomile and piece of chocolate cake!   (After rescuing TT from the beer festival)
