Sunday afternoon in Bournemouth

The European debate is really interesting and I'm drained afterwards.  We've decided to stick with a refendum on the terms rather than reversing article 50, I can live with that despite having voted for the amendment on the latter which was defeated.
Next it's Q&A with Vince which is equally great.

As I emerge, it's apparent that the LD's are on the move.

I walk a little way along the cliffs to the Russell-Cotes Gallery

This is a wonderful Victorian home and gallery.  And note the michaelmas daisies

It's not as grand and tasteful as Leightons House in London.  Read more here
In 1901 Merton Russell-Cotes gave his wife Annie a dream house on a cliff-top, overlooking the sea. It was an extraordinary, extravagant, lavish, splendid, and had a touch of fantasy.  They filled this exotic seaside villa with beautiful objects from their travels across the world, and lined the walls with a remarkable collection of British art, creating a unique atmosphere in a most dramatic setting.
Merton was political and did a lot for the town.  I'm not sure what his leanings were but he sometimes got himself in trouble.

The sun comes out
