A Friday in Glasgow

I have recovered from the 0100 false fire alarm and rush to reception in PJs along with a crowd of other confused guests.  The sunshine and Martha's, St Vincent St help.  Porridge tastier than my own, bright surroundings and service with a smile.

I take the train from Central Station to Pollokshaws West which takes about ten minutes.  Thanks to ScotRail for plenty of tables and a prompt departure.  I am heading on a trip down memory lane to the Burrell Collection.  I last visited in 89.
Pollokshaws West has a cute station.

I remember walking in Pollok Park, where the collection is sited, with my baby niece.  I will never forget the happy smile induced by Rhodedendrons in the sun.  It was a day like today.

The path to the building takes about 15 minutes and is very pleasant.
