Looking forward to travelling North

I feel relieved that Scotland is still part of the UK, whilst fully understanding why the people there are so fed up of Westminster.  Such a interesting little island we all inhabit and I hope we stay together.  I was telling my friend in Quito tonight, via Skype, that I would visit Yorkshire on the way back.  'What language do the speak?' She asked.  'English', I replied ' it's part of England'.  'Can you understand the dialect? 'Yes, because it is close to my own, from the otherside of the mountains which run down the middle'

There is not much contact between these fair isles and Latin America.  I wonder if there will be anything about the huge demo in Quito tomorrow in the press, or the Pope's visit for that matter.

Timofnewbury has been to see the new Far From the Madding Crowd.  I decided not to go as the first film was so special to me and the book is possibly my favourite Hardy novel and he is my favourite author.  Too much to lose.  But ToN liked it a lot so maybe I will see it.  I realised that perhaps the story of Fanny Roberts fueled my interest in women's health.  Could be.
