Manhattan Evening

We wind up our day at The Tenement Museum.
This completes the treat day which my wonderful daughter has curated for my birthday.  'I know you'll like this, Mum'.  And I do.  It's about people, it's social history.

We take a tour with Scott.  It's called Hard Times. We learn about the immigrant families as we stand in the very apartments they inhabited.  One is in ruins, two are reconstructed.  We can't take photos, but the website has a photo archive.

The Subway is slow, it's having issues.  We try not to moan.  Home to a swim on the 23rd floor with views of the Hudson,  then beers and my birthday pasta meal.

I'm in the heavenly realm.
