I had forgotten how cosy and different it is in Upper Manhattan. We arrived last night about 10. It was dark and humid and the fresh fruit displays out side the store looked amazing. Fantastic to return to the comfortable apartment.
Virgin Atlantic did us proud but the queues in JFK did not impress. A different and friendly world greeted us on the Air Train and Subway. Though I crawled under the barrier in frustration at one point.
First I pop to the local store and get a watermelon and yogurt breakfast for us and then we head out, noting today's motto on the way
First stop is the Citibike stand and a cycle round Central Park, fun but slightly scary
We are going to the Met but first it's coffee and heavy cream on the sidewalk!
